"I have known Rabbi Emert for over twenty years, ever since he took over for the previous retiring Rabbi at my temple in northern New Jersey. He was there guiding me as I grew up in Hebrew school and for my Bar Mitzvah at 13, and later on, for my confirmation in high school.
So when it came time to take the next major step in my life, I could think of only one person who should be under the chuppah joining us in marriage. We met with the rabbi several times over the months leading up to the wedding, him getting to know my wife, her background and family, and why we loved each other and wanted to spend our lives together. Rabbi Emert ensured we had all the necessary "talks" prior to our wedding, including faith, family, children, finances, good communication and emotions.
On the day of wedding, as the ceremony unfolded in front of our family and friends, we stood under the Chuppah, and the rabbi called back to these prior conversations to make the wedding ceremony much more intimate and personal they we even expected. I can't thank the Rabbi enough for officiating our wedding ceremony, and his guidance during the months leading up to the wedding, as well as over the last twenty years of my life."
